There is simply no faster way to communicate with a large, targeted audience than mobile marketing. Many marketers are diligently review their strategies in order to pinpoint methods that might capture a greater section of the mobile market.

One area that has proven immensely successful is email marketing, a channel that has been arguably neglected since shiny social media came on the scene. However, consider that most mobile users receive an alert each time they receive an email. This enables companies to achieve fast, unobtrusive advertising that streamlines communication with their target markets.

Here are some tips on writing copy to drive fabulous ROI with email marketing campaigns.

1)    Write Concise, Information-Rich Copy
Email content should be interesting and quick to read. It’s the type of content audiences will read when they have a 5-minute break from office work, or on the train home.

Email campaigns for special promotions should focus primarily on the savings achieved, while businesses building new leads for their organization might focus on the strength of their brand. The key is to be concise and informative.

2)    Include at Least Two Calls to Action
Email campaign audiences, like most online audiences, are reactive rather than proactive. If companies don’t spell out how to best capitalize on a new offer or the latest product, the audience won’t act. This means that calls to action are a key element in any responsive email campaign.

The key is to place calls to action in areas where they don’t detract from the copy. Placing one in between two paragraphs, and then a different call to action at the end is ideal. Whether it’s “Learn more here” or “Buy [your product] now and save,” optimal placing of calls to action will ensure strong lead generation.

To recap, ensure your email campaigns contain informative copy that drives action on the audience’s behalf. And then optimize based on the responses received.
